Sustainable Innovation Award: Union Pacific was recognized for its commitment to a lower carbon future by demonstrating a culture of innovation. Union Pacific pursues innovative ideas to bring lower carbon fuels into their operation. They advocate for the use of lower carbon fuels within their industry and continue to push the needle with ideas such as publishing a sustainability report.

Sustainable Innovation Fleet Award: Contract Transport Inc. was recognized for the measures they implemented to reduce their fleet’s carbon footprint through:

  • Total year-round usage of biodiesel, renewable diesel and blend rate
  • Use of B20+ biodiesel blends
  • Implementation of optimized routing, idle reduction and aerodynamics
  • Advocacy of biodiesel and renewable diesel within the industry

Lower Carbon Fuel Now Distributor Award: Growmark was recognized for bringing lower carbon fuel now to their customers through:

  • Total year-round usage of biodiesel, renewable diesel and blend rate
  • Investment in blending infrastructure
  • Percent of customers using B20+
  • Promotion of GHG reduction with customers
  • Sustainable Leadership Retailer Award: Sheetz was recognized for providing lower carbon fuel solutions for consumers by offering biofuels throughout their market with:

    • Total year-round usage of biodiesel, renewable diesel and blend rate
    • Investment in blending infrastructure
    • Published sustainability report
    • Advocacy of biodiesel and renewable diesel within the industry

    Lower Carbon Fuel Innovation Municipality Award: the City of Madison was recognized for incorporating biodiesel and/or renewable diesel as part of their integrated energy management approach to bring lower carbon fuels to their city with:

    • Total year-round usage of biodiesel, renewable diesel and blend rate
    • Published sustainability report for the city
    • Advocacy of biodiesel and renewable diesel to other municipalities and Clean Cities Coordinators
  • Sustainable Innovation Municipality Award: the City of Madison was recognized for incorporating biodiesel and/or renewable diesel as part of their integrated energy management approach to bring lower carbon fuels to their city through:

    • Total year-round usage of biodiesel, renewable diesel and blend rate
    • Published sustainability report for the city
