For more than eight years, Matt Giles has helped ensure legal compliance in all areas of the business. Joining REG in 2014, Mr. Giles was REG's first full-time lawyer, serving as Corporate Counsel and Senior Corporate Counsel.
Mr. Giles has led many key growth initiatives for REG’s legal department, most notably the Geismar Expansion and Improvement project and Chevron integration planning.
Prior to joining REG, Mr. Giles was a litigation and commercial lawyer in private practice following a clerkship with the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.
Mr. Giles holds a J.D. from George Mason University, an MBA from The University of Iowa, an M.S. from Pace University and a B.A. from Brigham Young University. He lives in Urbandale, Iowa with his wife Ann Marie and their six children.
