Experience Natural Gas for Yourself: Chevron’s CNG Demo Program

Try before you buy has never run so smoothly. Thanks to a collaboration between Chevron and Cummins, on-highway fleets can test the latest compressed natural gas (CNG) engine in real-world conditions. Chevron offers qualified customers a short-term trial of a Class 8 tandem axle Peterbilt day cab powered by the Cummins X15N engine — bringing fuels, infrastructure and engine technology together for a hands-on driving and refueling experience.

The new Cummins X15N engine is the first of its kind — a 15-liter engine powered by natural gas with the capability of meeting stringent EPA and CARB regulations. With a comparable engine size, customers can see for themselves how the power of CNG stacks up to traditional diesel.
