Minnesota was the first state to require the use of biodiesel blended fuel. REG is knowledgeable about these usage requirements, and we’re ready to help you achieve your compliance and business goals through high-quality biodiesel blends.
Seasonal blending requirements.
These requirements went into effect on July 1, 2014.
- Summer months (April 15th – September 30th) — All diesel fuel sold in Minnesota must contain at least 20% biodiesel (B20).
- From April 1st - April 14th — All diesel fuel sold in Minnesota must contain at least 10% biodiesel (B10).
- Winter months (October – March) — All diesel fuel sold in Minnesota must contain at least 5% biodiesel (B5).
- Winter months (October – March) — All diesel fuel sold in Minnesota must contain at least 5% biodiesel (B5).
THE RIGHT BLEND FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS
HIGHER BLENDS OFFER MORE BENEFITS.
While B10 or B5 are required, you are allowed to offer your customers higher blends. As your customers become more familiar with the many benefits of biodiesel blended fuel — including improved air quality — it will become easier for you to move into higher blends.
