Seasonal blending requirements.
These requirements went into effect on July 1, 2014.
- Summer months (April – September) — All diesel fuel sold in Minnesota must contain at least 10% biodiesel (B10).
- Winter months (October – March) — All diesel fuel sold in Minnesota must contain at least 5% biodiesel (B5).
B20 by 2018.

These requirements will go into effect on May 1, 2018.
- Summer months (April – September) — All diesel fuel sold in Minnesota must contain at least 20% biodiesel (B20).
- Winter months (October – March) — All diesel fuel sold in Minnesota must contain at least 5% biodiesel (B5).
