With over 20 years in commodity trading and logistics, Paul Nees serves as General Manager, Global Supply and Trading for Chevron Renewable Energy Group. In his current position, Mr. Nees oversees the teams responsible for supply and trading, logistics and commodity risk management.
Mr. Nees has been with Chevron Renewable Energy Group for over 16 years. Prior to his current role, Mr. Nees worked in procurement, leading the vendor management and purchasing strategy of feedstock and chemical inputs. He has also previously led the supply chain optimization and logistics team which was responsible for all rail, truck, and marine movements in addition to a network of terminal positions. Prior to Chevron Renewable Energy Group, Mr. Nees worked for CHS Inc., AGP, and West Central Cooperative in various commodity trading and risk management roles.
Mr. Nees currently serves on the board of directors for American Fats and Oils Association and on the executive committee of Iowa Renewable Fuels Association. He has also previously served as a member of the Finance Committee of Gilbert Lutheran Church, a board member of United Way of Story County, and as Chairperson of the City of Gilbert Parks and Rec Commission. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and participates as a youth sports coach for several of their sports teams. Mr. Nees received a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business from Iowa State University.
