For more than 20 years, Ms. Merrill has held multiple financial and operational positions, including more than 17 years in the biodiesel industry. Currently, Ms. Merrill serves as Director, Business Development and Strategy for Chevron Renewable Energy Group. She is responsible for business unit strategy and business development activities including planning, relationship and project development, mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and all related financial analysis.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Merrill served as Treasurer, Executive Director of Corporate Finance and Investment Banking, Vice President and Chief of Staff as well as Senior Vice President of Business Development for Renewable Energy Group prior to acquisition. Prior to joining Chevron Renewable Energy Group, Ms. Merrill worked for Deloitte in Kansas City, serving consulting, audit and tax clients during her tenure.
Ms. Merrill serves as a board observer for Booster and board member for Forge Hydrocarbons. She is also a voting board member for the Advanced Biofuels Association. On a community level, Ms. Merrill has served as a board member for the Central Iowa Chapter for American Red Cross, a board member and past treasurer for Metro Women Connect and as a board member of the Ames Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Merrill holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master of Accountancy from Truman State University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Truman State University. Ms. Merrill is also a non-active licensed Certified Public Accountant.
