Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to perform strain development and improvement efforts using state-of-the-art Molecular Biology/Synthetic Biology/Molecular Genetic techniques. Makes detailed observations, analyzes data and interprets results. Investigates, creates and develops new methods and technologies for project advancement.
Requirements:
Education Required: B.S. or M.S. degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
Experience Required: 1-5 years of academic or industrial experience

Title:Scientist/Sr. Scientist -Metabolic Engineering and Synthetic Biology Location:South San Francisco, CA
Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to support microbial strain, pathway and enzyme engineering programs within the company and bring state of the art molecular biology/metabolic engineering/synthetic biology/evolutionary engineering skills to the groups. In-depth knowledge of microbial physiology and its regulation as well as familiarity with high-throughput techniques are desirable. Frequent interaction with other molecular biologists, enzymologists, fermentation specialists, analytical chemists and automation scientists is part of the job.
Requirements:
Education Required: PhD (or equivalent industry experience) in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Synthetic Biology, Protein Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related discipline.

Title:Senior Project Engineer Location:Ames, IA
Position Summary:
Provide overall technical expertise and leadership of projects. Implement and continually improve the technical strategy and execution of the plans consistent with approved REG project goals. Develop material, equipment, technology, quality and advance projects by conveying these standards to the project team while maintaining productive working relationships with staff, contractors, and vendors.  Responsible for delivering the assigned projects on time and on budget and meeting or exceeding performance requirements.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree with preference for Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
Experience: Typically at least 7 years mechanical/chemical engineering experience in a chemical or petrochemical processing environment. Experience working inside a chemical plant. Thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical and chemical processing engineering.
Skills Required: Ability to use office equipment (computer, calculator, copy machine, and fax machine). Basic math and language skills along with organizational skills needed for completing the essential functions of this job. Title:Senior Scientist - Bioanalytical Chemistry Location:South San Francisco, CA
Position Summary:
This position involves being part of an interdisciplinary, dynamic and enthusiastic team responsible for supporting R&D programs, driving research in quantitative analysis of small and macromolecule analytes. This will include targeted quantitative assay development as well as small molecule identification and characterization using different analytical methods (ie, LC/MS, GC/FID, GC/MS, HPLC, CE, etc).
Requirements:
Education Required: PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Analytical science or a related field with proven track record of accomplishments in an industrial setting, preferably in bio-technology or life sciences.
Experience Required: Experience in the preparation, characterization, quantitation of proteins in biological samples using targeted proteomics. Experience in the development of analytical methods for the identification and characterization of metabolites, products and by-products generated over engineered industrial microorganisms.

Position Summary:
The purpose of this job is to assure compliance with company policies and procedures, provide support to internal/external customers and to consistently apply valid accounting principles to achieve financial accountability.
Requirements:
Education Required: 4-year Accounting (or related) degree preferred.
Experience Required: Formal education in accounting-related field and 2-3 years experience. Working knowledge of Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or other enterprise software like SAP and People Soft and its applications a plus.
