Title:Associate General Counsel or Senior Attorney Location:Ames, IA
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for completing, directing, coordinating and supervising legal activities of major importance to the corporation’s long-term future.  This person will be responsible for drafting and review contracts, identifying and resolving business and legal risks, advising on regulatory matters, overseeing litigation, employment law matters, SEC filings, international business activities, and be actively engaged in the Company’s mergers and acquisitions.   These activities are typically highly confidential, may be enterprise-wide in scope and involve frequent interaction with both internal and external parties including REG’s Senior Leadership Team, REG’s technical, manufacturing and operational staff, external C-level management, universities, outside legal counsel and others.  
Requirements:
Education Required: Law degree with strong academic credentials. Membership in the Iowa bar is preferable.
Experience Required: Minimum five to ten years legal experience in a general corporate or related practice, preferably with strong background in contracts, complex transactions, some experience with SEC compliance, intellectual property law and international law. Must have experience leading deal teams. Must have demonstrated experience with large, complex legal matters. Related fuel, agriculture, biosciences or chemical industry experience a plus. Experience at top-tier law firm and/or as company in house counsel is preferred.
Skills Required: Strong legal analysis, synthesis and communication skills required. Decision-making, oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and leadership skills are required with superior attention to detail. Large project management, formal problem solving required.

Title:Associate Process Engineer, Fermentation Process Development-Pilot Plant Location:South San Francisco, CA
Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to work with senior engineering staff in the design, execution, and scale-up of novel fermentation processes to produce renewable products from a variety of biomass sources. The ideal candidate will be experienced in microbial fermentation process development with emphasis on pilot plant operations and/or manufacturing.  This hands-on position requires a desire and ability to work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as the demonstration of a high degree of flexibility, creativity, and initiative applied to the various duties and aspects of the position.  This Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations or REG Life Science pilot plant and will assist in the development and optimization of new, robust fermentation processes at lab scale.
Requirements:
Education Required: Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering/Microbiology or related engineering discipline or Master of Science in similar field.
Experience Required: 5-8 years of industry experience (with Bachelors of Science degree) or 2-4 years (with Master of Science degree)
Knowledge Required: Strong expertise in microbiology and biochemical engineering, with emphasis on fermentation. Pilot plant or manufacturing experience highly preferred. Strong mechanical ability desired. Strong mechanical inclination and abilities is a plus.

Title:Coordinator, EHS Location:Newton, IA
Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide coordination, action, and leadership to enhance continued compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations regarding environmental and safety control, permits, regulations, policies and procedures.  
Requirements:
Education: Bachelors degree or higher in engineering or related field, either in chemical, safety or environmental discipline preferred. 5 years of plant experience with relevant industrial experience. Working knowledge of federal, state and local HES related laws and regulations as it affects the plant.
Experience: 2 years practical safety/health experience in Ag business, elevator manufacturing, production, retail, etc., preferred.

Title:Coordinator, Laboratory/Quality Location:Albert Lea, MN
Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to manage the laboratory, maintain a testing schedule to provide quality testing of feedstocks and biodiesel, monitor ASTM and BQ9000 requirements, and to provide technical support to REG production with an emphasis on maintaining and improving current production quality of biodiesel as well as supervising laboratory activities and laboratory technicians.
